Educational Writer
Seeking a full-time writer to
help create daily7, news-based literacy
materials for teens. If you love to write in
a collaborative, deadline-intensive work
environment, you’ll fit right in.
Professional writing experience a big plus.
Salary Range: $40K range; negotiable, BOE
Job Duties:
• Adapt and recast news articles for 3-12
graders reading at a wide range of levels
• Write a variety of multiple-choice
questions and critical-thinking exercises
• Contribute creatively and intellectually
to high-energy team of writers and editors
Required Skills & Experience:
• Ability to write quickly and accurately
with daily deadlines
• Journalism or other professional writing
experience a plus
• Teaching experience a plus
• Must be highly organized and
self-motivated
• Must be Internet-savvy and comfortable
using MS Word and Excel
• Bachelor’s Degree
