Copy editor/Proofreader

Work from the comfort of your home doing ongoing copyediting and proofreading for DM pieces. You'll work with an experienced copywriter from a boutique creative services firm for an accounting software client.

You must:
-Be skilled and professional...attention to detail, mastery of style guidelines, extensive copyediting and proofing skills, project management skills and the ability to stay organized and multi-task under pressure
-Be easy to work with...great temperament, easygoing but dedicated
-Be available to work during the day on short notice(usually however you will have advance notice of at least 1 day) and willing to invest the hours needed to produce great work within budget and on deadline
-Be easily accessible by email and cell/BlackBerry
-Have access to Adobe Acrobat pdf files (8.0 preferable), Word docs, and email/Internet

This assignment is ongoing (regular client). Hourly pay rate depends upon experience.

Looking for someone with:

-One or more years experience in an office environment, preferably with focus on writing requiring a high level of detail orientation
-College education
-Experience with proofreading/copyediting
-Experience dealing with accounting software (a strong plus but not required)
-A solid command of the English language including grammar, spelling, and punctuation (proofreading test will be administered during interview process)
