External Relations - Full-Time Pet Care Consumer Relations

This role is a mid-level full-time position, located at our IAMS Pet Care facility in Dayton, OH. In this position you will serve as the primary contact and advocate for Iams and Eukanuba consumers - pet owners, veterinarians and breeders, and respond to inquiries and concerns, primarily by telephone. This is primarily telephone work that requires handling a high volume of calls on a daily basis. Telecommuting after 6-12 months is a possibility.

Responsibilities will include:

Handle inquiries and resolve consumer concerns by telephone and e-mail to ensure satisfaction, retention and product loyalty

Build relationships with the customer

Conduct surveys to gain a better understanding of Iams consumers, their pets and their buying preferences

Identify areas of concern and enter accurate data into the consumer response system

Maintain a high level of knowledge by proactively reviewing electronic messages, Consumer Relations website, daily briefing, and voice messages, to stay current with updates and changes regarding procedures, products, promotions, new items, competitors, etc.

Help grow the business through consumer education, cross selling and promoting loyalty

Lead with a great attitude and good team collaboration

Provide excellent customer service with strong communication skills - must have compassion for pets and people
